Reign Earns Father’s Praise for Taking Care of the Family

Comedian Reign Omusoyisoyi has earned praise from his father, who revealed that the entertainer now supports the family and helps pay school fees for his siblings.

Speaking on Daily Soup, the proud father said Reign’s success has improved the lives of family members and those closest to him.

I have gained a lot from Reign. First of all, he has made me popular. He supports the family and pays school fees for his siblings.

While reflecting on his son’s journey, he revealed that Reign displayed creativity and humor from an early age, often entertaining people around him long before finding fame.

Although he initially hoped his son would become a teacher, he eventually embraced his passion for comedy and watched the talent develop during his school years.

One memory that still stands out dates back to a visitation day at Kinaawa Secondary School, where he watched Reign perform in a comedy drama.

One time when I visited him on visitation day at Kinaawa Secondary School, they performed a comedy drama play and I saw him acting. Later when we talked, he told me he had connected with the late Hon. Kato Lubwama and had officially joined his group. I was very happy for him.

He also revealed that he supported Reign’s comedy ambitions from the beginning, partly because he recognized the same creative spark in himself.

All this comedy he is doing, I loved it from the beginning. I also had the talent, and I was creative during my era while in primary and secondary school.

While Reign has grown into one of Uganda’s best known comedians, his father says nothing makes him prouder than seeing his son use his success to support the family.

He also confirmed that Reign held his marriage ceremonies during the Covid-19 period.
