The Wait Is Over: Karole Kasita Brings ‘The Power Within’ to Serena Tonight
Karole Kasita finally takes center stage for “The Power Within” concert at Kampala Serena Hotel on Friday, May 29, following months of build up and last minute uncertainty surrounding the event.
The concert, first announced in October 2025, faced fresh questions in recent days as Uganda’s Ebola outbreak raised concerns about public gatherings.
Organizers received clearance from health authorities just over 24 hours before showtime, allowing the event to proceed under existing safety guidelines.
Away from the spotlight, Kasita says she relied on prayer and fasting as she prepared for the show.
“I prayed to God about this concert, and I continue to do so,” she said.
The singer has also invested heavily in the live production. More than 400 dancers turned up for auditions held ahead of the concert, with only 30 selected for the final performance team.
The selected dancers will form part of a production designed to match the scale of Kasita’s music catalogue and reputation as a live performer.
Since launching her solo career in 2018, the singer has built a loyal fan base through songs such as “Balance,” “Binyuma,” “Go,” “Chekecha,” “Gyal A Bubble,” and “Beng Beng.” Her energetic stage performances have helped establish her as one of Uganda’s most sought after female artistes.
That success has helped turn The Power Within into one of the year’s most anticipated concerts, attracting support from several partners, including Sanyuka TV.

With the health clearance secured and preparations complete, Kasita now turns her attention to the stage as fans gather for what is expected to be one of the year’s biggest music events.
