Don MC Steps Back from Rapping to Focus on Sound Engineering

Ugandan rapper Don MC Kapata, real name Donald R. Rutaisire, has resurfaced after a long break from the media, revealing that he took a step back from music to focus on other ventures.

Now based in the UK, he shifted his attention to sound engineering, a field he studied at De Montfort University in Leicester.

In a recent interview, he shared that he now dedicates most of his time to this profession, helping musicians with vocal work, audio editing, and overall sound production.

Despite staying out of the spotlight, Don MC remains passionate about music and continues to work on projects purely for the love of it.

Known for hits like “Oli Mbuzi,” “Tobimanyi,” and “Yes Yes,” he now treats music as a passion rather than a primary source of income.
