GNL Zamba Honors Grandmother Following Her Passing at 107

GNL Zamba has announced the death of his maternal grandmother, Eunike Namala Mayito, who passed away at the age of 107.

The Lugaflow veteran shared the news on social media, where he paid tribute to the woman he affectionately referred to as Jajja.

I lost my beautiful maternal grandmother. We bid farewell to our Jajja, Eunike Namala Mayito, who departed this life at the remarkable age of 107.

As he reflected on her life, GNL Zamba recalled one of his favourite memories from just two years ago, when she asked for a kit so she could take part in the Kabaka Run.

Dressed in her kit, she sped through her compound with determination and pride. We were amazed by how physically fit she remained and how sharp and present her mind still was.

The memory stood out as a reflection of the energy and enthusiasm that remained with her well into her later years.

GNL Zamba concluded his tribute by thanking his grandmother for the role she played in his life and the memories she leaves behind.

Rest in peace and power, Jajja Eunike. Thank you for the stories, the wisdom, the laughter, and the example. Your legacy lives on in all of us.
