I Have Just Turned 20, Marriage Can Wait — Gloria Bugie

Gloria Bugie has made her position on love and marriage clear.

While appearing on Sanyuka Uncut, the “Nyash” hitmaker congratulated fellow singer Geosteady and his wife, Hindu Kay, following their Nikkah on February 20.

She also applauded Geosteady for his Valentine’s Day concert at Sheraton Gardens.

Congratulations to them, and congratulations on your concert. I always clap for people and congratulate them. I am always happy for people.

Asked whether she dreams of one day getting married herself, Gloria quickly drew a line. She dismissed the idea that she even sees herself as a woman yet.

I am not a woman. I am a girl. I have just turned 20. I have not yet reached the age that qualifies someone to be called a woman.

She then addressed her relationship status, revealing that she is single by choice.

I do not have a boyfriend, and it is because I simply do not want one. There are very important things that I am focusing on for our country, Uganda, like winning a Grammy.

At 20, Gloria Bugie says her focus is on ambition, not romance, with her eyes set firmly on taking Ugandan music to bigger stages.
