“Live Within Your Means,” Miss Uganda Elle Urges Young Women
Muhoza Elle Trivia is keeping it real about life as Miss Uganda.
The reigning beauty queen says many people believe title holders live lavishly, but appearances can be deceiving.
According to Muhoza, some of the expensive hairstyles, nails, and fashion choices people see online come through partnerships rather than personal spending.
Most things you get them for free. You go for a hairstyle and then you just collaborate with them. You do your nails and you collaborate with them, but people outside do not know these things.
She believes young women should focus on living within their budgets instead of trying to impress others.
I always like to say live within your means. If you cannot afford a hairstyle of Shs200,000, why are you doing a hairstyle of Shs200,000? Do a hairstyle of Shs80,000 because that is within your range.
Muhoza said she is already preparing for life after her reign and making financial decisions with the future in mind.
I have to think financially because there is life after Miss Uganda. Next year there is going to be a new Miss Uganda.
She also stressed the value of learning skills, saying doing her own makeup helps her save money.
