Navio Explains Why He Sometimes Takes Criticism Personally
Navio says criticism does not always bother him, but things change when the comments come from people he feels lack talent, credibility, or work ethic.
The rapper shared his honest thoughts on the It’s Never That Serious podcast during the “Who Is Most Likely To” segment alongside fellow Klear Kut member The Mith.

When asked who takes criticism more personally, Navio openly admitted the shoe fit before explaining why certain opinions affect him more than others.
For him, years of hard work make it difficult to ignore criticism from people he believes have not accomplished much themselves.
Let me tell you what it is: work ethic is really important to me. So, by the time I have really pushed things out there and then I hear something from someone, but they lack work ethic, one, that is a problem. Two, I get a lot of criticism from untalented people sometimes, and it is a problem.

Navio went on to recall a situation from last year involving someone he felt should not have been commenting on his music career.
Last year, I experienced a situation with someone who should have stopped at the talent show in high school, but forgot and kept going. I do not know how not to take it personally because I feel like you are in a different field, or you should be.
He explained that after spending over two decades in the music industry, it becomes difficult not to react when criticism comes from people he feels lack credibility or understanding of the craft.
Still, he made it clear that he respects opinions from genuine fans and professionals in the field.
