Ray Signature Opens Up About His Dual Passion for Music and Carpentry, Teases New Songs
Fans of Ray Signature, born Raymond Joseph Mugerwa, need not worry, as the artiste has not entirely left the music scene despite his prolonged silence.
In a recent interview, the “Kasenyanku” singer confirmed that he has new music coming soon.
He announced that he is working on several collaborations with popular artistes like Irene Ntale, Eddie Kenzo, and Lilian Mbabazi.
However, he plans to release the songs one by one as his focus is on singles this year.
Ray also shared that he has been focusing more on songwriting, with his latest work being “Mpa Nkuwe” by former Swangz Avenue artiste, Irene Ntale.
Away from his music career, Ray revealed that he is a carpenter, a profession that takes up most of his time when he is not on the microphone.
“I am a carpenter, and I have a company called East Side that specializes in interior design. I sell woodwork, and as an artist, I also draw and sell pictures,” he explained.
Speaking about the possibility of holding a concert soon, Ray mentioned that he would only do so when the time feels right.
He is confident that his music resonates with his audience and will continue to do so for years to come.
That being said, he feels that even when he clocks 50, he will still be able to organize a concert.
