Da Agent Blames Artiste Pride for His Limited Collaborations
Lugaflow artiste Da Agent has opened up about why collaborations have been rare in his career.
Often described as the fastest rapper in Uganda, Da Agent, real name Ivan Wabwire, has been active in music since around 2016, with roots dating back to his high school days.
Yet despite that time in the game, his catalogue features only a handful of collaborations.

Speaking on Rewind, the rapper explained that the issue is not a lack of interest, but rather the attitude he encounters within the industry.
He said that while he remains open and approachable, pride among fellow artistes often creates a barrier, making it difficult to initiate or sustain collaborations.
For now, Da Agent says he prefers to focus on his own path, even as he remains open to working with others under the right circumstances.
Musicians are too proud. I would love to work with other musicians. Personally, I am easy-going and easy to approach, but other musicians are too proud in one way or another, and that is why I do not reach out to them. I just do my thing, and that is what stops me from doing collaborations.
Other artistes, including D Star and Aaronx, have also raised concerns about the challenges of collaborations in the industry.
They say many joint projects end up feeling one-sided, with one artiste often left to handle most of the promotion after release.
