Wilson Bugembe Explains the Bobi Wine Lyric in Vaayo Ojulire
A familiar Bobi Wine lyric has found its way into Pastor Wilson Bugembe‘s latest gospel release, “Vaayo Ojulire.”
Bugembe drew inspiration from “Bikwase Kyagulanyi” while writing the song and ended up incorporating part of its famous chorus into the project.
He later adjusted one of the lines to place greater emphasis on God’s influence in his life, giving the message a gospel perspective.
The decision stemmed from a moment of inspiration rather than a carefully planned move.
Bobi Wine is my friend. I was in the studio and felt the vibe.
Bugembe explained that the phrase stood out because of the resilience it represents.
Those themes have remained central to much of his music over the years, which made the lyric an easy fit for “Vaayo Ojulire.”
I knew that Bobi Wine is my friend, so he wouldn’t get mad about my song .- Pastor Bugembe #SanyukaUnCut #SanyukaUpdates pic.twitter.com/Z3ht0VZzuM
