My Dance Style Does Not Shame Me Because I Earn From It — Mzee Kawato
Ugandan dancer and social media personality Mzee Kawato has responded to people who mock his dance style, saying the criticism means little to him because dancing pays his bills.
The entertainer, whose energetic clips have attracted both fans and critics online, says he takes pride in a talent that has helped him make a living.

My dance does not shame me because I earn from it.
The remark came during an appearance on Sanyuka Uncut, where Kawato reflected on the reactions his content often receives on social media.
While some people laugh at his dance style, the same videos have helped Kawato build an audience and create opportunities for himself.
As a result, he pays little attention to criticism and instead focuses on the benefits dancing has brought into his life.

Kawato also encouraged young people to believe in their talents and find ways to turn them into something meaningful because, in his view, there is nothing embarrassing about a skill that puts food on the table.
I knew a few dance moves, but I didn’t know people would like my dancing. My son discovered my talent in dancing, and we work very well together.- Mzee Kawato#SanyukaUnCut #SanyukaUpdates pic.twitter.com/ANcIP8PgN3
