Thousands Locked Out as Kazibwe Kapo Concert Fills Front Page Hotel

Kazibwe Kapo‘s June 12 concert delivered scenes few expected after Front Page Hotel filled beyond capacity, leaving thousands of supporters unable to gain entry.

Despite the gates closing at 8 PM, fans continued streaming toward the venue, hoping to find a way into what had become one of the hottest tickets in town.

Even the singer appeared overwhelmed by the response.

Maybe we should have chosen a bigger venue.

Kapo reportedly made the remark as crowds continued gathering outside the already packed venue.

For many observers, the turnout confirmed the singer’s growing popularity. Some even suggested that a larger venue could have accommodated the demand generated by the concert.

That popularity has grown steadily over the years. However, Kapo’s regular appearances on the viral “Akantu” podcast have introduced him to thousands of younger followers who may not have previously listened to Kadongo Kamu music.

As a result, the audience inside Front Page Hotel reflected a broad mix of generations and backgrounds. Musicians, celebrities, politicians, journalists, bloggers, and business leaders all turned up for the event.

Meanwhile, fans inside the venue created a lively atmosphere as chants of “Kapo! Kapo!” echoed throughout the building.

In the end, the overwhelming turnout highlighted Kazibwe Kapo’s ability to attract audiences well beyond his traditional fan base and reinforced his place among Uganda’s most popular performers.
