Shakib Claims Pallaso, Alien Skin, Fik Gaza Feared His Boxing Challenge

Socialite Shakib Cham Lutaaya has defended his decision to fight Barista Timo after months of online criticism surrounding their celebrity boxing match.

Back in April, Shakib defeated the social media personality through a dramatic first-round knockout during a highly publicized corporate boxing event at the IUEA auditorium in Kampala.

Despite the dominant victory, many critics dismissed the fight and accused Shakib of choosing a weaker opponent instead of facing stronger challengers.

Addressing the issue on Crossfire, Shakib insisted Barista Timo only got the opportunity after several bigger names refused to step into the ring with him.

The reason why I fought Timo, who many people call weak, is because I called out the strong ones and they did not step forward. Who does not know that I called out Pallaso and he did not come? Who does not know that I called Alien Skin for boxing and he did not come? I already called Fik Gaza and he did not come. So what do you want me to do? Just sit down?

Shakib also defended Timo against claims that he was too weak for the fight, arguing that simply accepting the challenge already deserved respect.

Give Timo credit. I do not even call him weak because he stepped into the ring. No weak person enters the ring. The one who fears the ring is the weak one.

The remarks come as Shakib prepares for another celebrity boxing showdown against Kenyan singer Arrow Boy in Nairobi on June 29.

Before defeating Barista Timo, Shakib previously beat media personality JK Kazoora before suffering a loss to singer Rickman Manrick in his second publicized bout.
