Slowing Down Musically Does Not Mean I Quit — Hellen Lukoma

Hellen Lukoma knows many people think she no longer takes music seriously.

The criticism has followed her for years, especially whenever fans compare her current music output to the consistency of artistes releasing songs almost every month.

But for Hellen, constantly dropping music means nothing if there is no real life or long term success behind it.

I have seen people release music every day, but at the end of the day they have nothing meaningful to show, nothing to eat, and no name or brand.

Speaking on Flexx, the former Obsessions and HB Toxic star insisted she still cares deeply about music even if she chooses to move differently from everyone else.

I do take it seriously. The only problem is that you want me to move at your pace.

And while some critics focus only on her music releases, Hellen says she has never stopped working.

Movies, television, fashion, and modeling have all remained part of her world alongside music.

I can produce music when I can produce, but that does not mean I am just seated because at the end of the day I am still doing movies. I am on your TVs every day.

For the entertainer, building a career across different creative fields should never feel like a crime.

There are people who release music every day and they are only doing music. For them, everything revolves around music. Some of those people you cannot really call multi-talented. But me, I can do many things. Why are you limiting me?
