Sheebah Reveals Health Battle and Surgery in India

Ugandan singer Sheebah Karungi has opened up about a health battle she kept largely private for more than a year after giving birth.

In an emotional message shared on social media, the singer revealed that she recently traveled to India for surgery to treat a childbirth-related medical condition that had affected her for over eighteen months.

Reflecting on the experience, Sheebah said many people only see the public side of her life without realizing the challenges she has faced behind the scenes.

Sometimes people see the headlines, the photos, the appearances, but they do not see what it takes to keep showing up.

According to the singer, doctors advised her to rest following the procedure. However, she returned home and appeared in court the very next day because of responsibilities she felt she could not postpone.

Sheebah also paid tribute to her mother, family members, and close team, saying they witnessed the difficult journey firsthand.

She explained that they stood by her through the pain, hospital visits, treatment, and recovery process, making their support especially meaningful during one of the toughest periods of her life.

The singer said their presence alongside her in court represented more than support for a legal matter. To her, it reflected the strength of people who had watched her overcome a deeply personal challenge.

Sheebah concluded her message by encouraging her followers to remain resilient during difficult moments, saying hardship often reveals a person’s greatest strength.
