Slimcase said the genre is losing its excitement.
He advised fellow musicians to slow down, pointing to Rihanna as an example of balancing music with other ventures.
Slimcase urged artists to take breaks so they can return with fresh sounds.
According to him, releasing too much music in a short time creates pressure and causes the quality to drop.
He added that only God is new every morning, and too many singles and albums are making Afrobeat less enjoyable.
