UMA Calls for Peace as Pallaso and King Saha Feud Escalates
Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) has finally broken its silence on the escalating feud between Pallaso and King Saha, calling for peace before the situation spirals even further.
In a statement released on May 18 and signed by UMA National Treasurer Ibrahim “Big Eye” Mayanja, the association expressed concern over the growing tensions and violent confrontations linked to the two singers and their camps.
The Uganda Musicians Association is deeply concerned about the ongoing conflict and public exchanges between fellow musicians Pallaso and King Saha, which has unfortunately escalated into violent confrontations involving their respective teams and supporters.
UMA also condemned violence, threats, and actions that could endanger lives within the entertainment industry.
As an association committed to promoting unity, professionalism, and the growth of the music industry in Uganda, we strongly condemn all forms of violence, threats, and actions that may endanger lives or disrupt peace among artistes and their fans.
Days of social media accusations, public confrontations, and reports of violence involving people linked to both artistes pushed the conflict deeper into the spotlight.
King Saha recently sparked alarm online after accusing Pallaso of trying to kill him, while separate reports claimed unknown individuals vandalised his vehicle during a trip to Kayunga.
Amid the growing fallout, UMA reminded musicians that music should unite people rather than divide them.
Music is a powerful tool that unites people, inspires communities, and promotes love and harmony. It should never become a source of hatred, division, or bloodshed.
Beyond condemning the violence, the association also called on Pallaso, King Saha, their management teams, fans, and stakeholders to exercise restraint and seek peaceful ways of resolving misunderstandings.
It added that it remains ready to mediate between both sides in hopes of restoring calm within the music industry.
The Uganda Musicians Association remains ready to mediate and facilitate peaceful reconciliation between the parties involved for the good of the industry and the safety of everyone.
