Zagazillions Urges Musicians To Learn The Business Side Of Music
Many upcoming artistes spend years chasing studio sessions and hit songs without fully understanding how the music business actually works.
That is something Zagazillions believes needs to change.
While appearing on NBS After 5, the multi-genre singer encouraged fellow artistes to educate themselves about streaming platforms and music revenue, arguing that many musicians miss opportunities because nobody teaches them about the business side of entertainment.

If you educate yourself, like literally, music can change your entire life, but it is up to you. You have to educate yourself because there are a lot of things no one will tell you. No one will tell you that you can earn from your Spotify.
Beyond the business conversation, Zagazillions also opened up about the kind of life he hopes music eventually gives him.
He admitted he dreams of international tours, global stages, and a future where music comfortably takes care of his family and finances.
Me personally, I can say my dream is for music to pay my bills. For me not to worry. For this music to take my kids to international schools. To perform abroad. You have to have these dreams. O2 Arena, US tour, South American tour, world tour, and the possibilities are endless right now.

Zagazillions believes music can go much further when artistes understand both the creative and business side of the industry.
Formerly known as Young Zee, the singer first broke onto Uganda’s music scene in 2012 as a 12 year old prodigy under Swangz Avenue.
He attracted major attention early in his career after releasing a music video reportedly shot in South Africa at a cost of more than $39,000 (around Shs 147m today), making it one of Uganda’s most expensive videos at the time.
He later stepped away from music for several years to focus on his education before making his comeback in 2020 under the name Zagazillions.
Music can change your life, bro. It can change your entire life, but it’s up to you. You have to educate yourself because there are a lot of things no one will tell you.- ZagaZillions #NBSAfter5 #NBSUpdates pic.twitter.com/XW6JHV1k25
