Zanie Brown Shuts Down Claims She Does Music for Fun, Calls It a Business

During a media chat, singer Zanie Brown, whose real name is Zanie Namugenyi, shared her perspective on music and the realities of her career.

When asked whether she does music purely for joy or for financial gain, she explained that, for her, music is a calling.

But unlike some callings that may require complete selflessness, she pointed out that music demands a serious investment.

She noted that the craft takes both time and money, and with that investment comes the expectation of a return.

“Music is business,” Zanie Brown concluded, dismissing the idea that she is in the industry solely for enjoyment or fun.
