Balaam Tells Kafeero Child Claimants: Take DNA Test or Stay Silent
The debate over the children of late Kadongo Kamu legend Paul Kafeero has taken another turn after State Minister for Youth and Children Affairs Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi called for all claimants to undergo DNA testing.
Balaam said he backed the exercise to protect Kafeero’s reputation and bring clarity to a matter that has sparked public discussion for years.
He believes the growing number of people claiming ties to the singer has created confusion among fans and those close to the late musician.
> I used my office to help my friend, the late Kafeero, regain his respect again because some of the people claiming to be his children were embarrassing his name.
The minister also issued a strong message to anyone who says they are Kafeero’s child.
> Every child of Kafeero should come and do the DNA test. If not, keep quiet forever.
Reports indicate that more than 24 people have come forward claiming a relationship with the music icon.
Many supporters hope the DNA exercise will finally settle the long running debate and help preserve Kafeero’s legacy.
