More Than 24 Alleged Children of Paul Kafeero Undergo DNA Testing
More than two decades after the death of Kadongo Kamu legend Paul Kafeero, efforts to establish the true extent of his family have taken a significant step forward.
Reports indicate that more than 24 individuals recently underwent DNA testing to determine whether they are biological children of the celebrated musician.
The exercise aims to address long-standing questions surrounding Kafeero’s paternity and could provide definitive answers to claims that have circulated for years.
Speaking after the DNA exercise, Kafeero’s brother, Omukunja Mugerwa, welcomed the development and expressed optimism about the outcome.
I am grateful for this DNA test since it is going to help my brother’s name.
Mugerwa said the process will help establish the truth and bring clarity to a matter that has generated speculation for years.
The late Paul Kafeero remains one of Uganda’s most influential Kadongo Kamu artistes, with a catalogue of music that continues to resonate with fans across generations.
As the family awaits the results, many supporters hope the findings will provide answers and put to rest the uncertainty surrounding one of Uganda’s most celebrated musical figures.
