Rising dancehall singer Mark Da Urban has credited King Saha with playing an important role in his growth both as an artiste and as a person.

King Saha inspires me a lot, not even musically but also physically. The things he does behind the cameras when he is off stage are very important and have had an impact on my life.
Music has been part of Mark’s life from an early age.
He says he grew up in a musical family, with both his mother and grandparents involved in the craft.
My musical journey started at home because my mother is a music teacher and a musician, and so were my grandparents.
His family’s influence sparked his passion for music, but King Saha’s journey has given him a different kind of inspiration.
Mark says he admires the singer’s ability to build a lasting career and earn a living from an industry many people describe as difficult to profit from.
When I look at people like King Saha, I ask myself how he has managed to benefit from music when some people say there is no money in it. How has he stayed in the industry for all these years while producing songs that people enjoy? That is how he mentors me, in one way or another.
