Chike Reveals What Attracts Him To Older Women

Nigerian singer Chike has sparked conversation online after opening up about why he prefers dating older women instead of younger ones.

Speaking in an interview posted on Instagram, Chike said maturity and peace have become more important to him in relationships over the years.

He explained that younger women may struggle to handle certain realities because of differences in maturity and life experience.

Women cannot handle it, I am telling you for a fact. The times you start finding a woman that can handle it, they are slightly advanced age.

The singer also questioned what a serious relationship with a much younger woman would realistically offer him.

Imagine I am running around with some 23-year-old now. What is she going to handle? What is she going to understand? She just wants to take pictures and be on Instagram and tell everybody that she is dating you.

According to him, emotional maturity and peace are qualities he has mostly found in older women.

That is where you find yourself saying, ‘This girl is so mature.’ You find it in older people.

Chike revealed that his last two relationships were with women older than him, adding that he now values emotional alignment more than anything else.

The past two relationships I have been in, they have been older than me. I like them. You get to a place where you want a certain level of peace.

His remarks have since divided opinion online, with some agreeing that maturity matters more than age, while others argued that emotional intelligence depends on the individual rather than age alone.
