Dmario Laments Lack of Support From Artistes During Prison Stay
Producer Dmario has expressed disappointment after several friends and artistes he worked with failed to support him during his recent stay in prison.
The head of Dmario Production Studios regained his freedom at the beginning of June after spending more than two weeks in Luzira Prison following his arrest in connection with an alleged assault incident at a bar.
According to the producer, police arrested him during an operation at a venue where football fans had gathered to watch an Arsenal match.

I had gone to watch a live band performance, but there was also an Arsenal game that night. As celebrations got out of hand, police rounded up people at the scene and I ended up being arrested too.
While the arrest itself was difficult, Dmario says the experience revealed who was truly in his corner.
He claims that none of the artistes whose music he helped produce visited him in prison or appeared in court to support him during the ordeal.

I was arrested on May 22 and spent more than two weeks in jail, but none of the artistes I have worked with checked on me. The only people who stood by me throughout the situation were my family members.
Although he has worked with numerous artistes over the years, Dmario says it was his family, not industry friends, who remained by his side when he needed support the most.
