“Everyone Showed Up for Him” Etania Praises Support for Baraka
The loss of Joshua Baraka‘s father has left a lasting impression on his girlfriend Etania Mutoni, who says the experience reminded her of the value of genuine friendships and a strong support system.
Pastor Lawrence Okello Habalu passed away on June 7, 2026, and relatives, friends, and well wishers gathered in Bugelele, Kitimbwa, Kayunga District two days later for his burial.
Reflecting on the difficult days leading up to the funeral, the DJ and media personality said the support Baraka received from friends and family helped them navigate a challenging period.
Past few days have been the hardest for me and Joshua but we are most grateful for our friends and family. I have developed more respect for having a community and building relationships with people who not only show up for your good times but hard times as well.
She especially appreciated the way people rallied around Baraka from the beginning of the mourning period through to the burial.
Everyone showed up for him full front from beginning to end and he saw it. Our friends really outdid themselves and I appreciate every one of you. We locked in for life with you guys.
Etania also expressed gratitude to those who made time to attend the vigil, church service, and burial despite their personal commitments.
