Jolly Mutesi Denies Involvement After Bebe Cool’s Fraud Allegations

Former Miss Rwanda Jolly Mutesi has denied any involvement in an alleged scam after Ugandan singer Bebe Cool publicly accused her of conning him.

In a statement shared on X, Mutesi said fraudsters have been using a fake account in her name to target unsuspecting victims, warning the public to remain cautious when interacting with social media accounts claiming to represent her.

It has come to my attention that someone has created a fake account & is impersonating me in the name of AKANSASIRA JOLLY. I regret that some of my people have become victims. Pls be cautious, do not engage with messages from any other unverified accounts.

Her statement came after Bebe Cool made a series of posts accusing Mutesi of conning him under the guise of opportunities linked to Rwanda and Arsenal Football Club.

In one of the posts, the singer claimed that he had been in contact with Mutesi and alleged that she had previously targeted other individuals using a similar approach.

This woman @mutesi_jolly stays in the UK, and she always watches Arsenal games. She conned me last year in the name of Rwanda, Arsenal Football Club, and now she’s on another big mission.

Bebe Cool further claimed that he possesses evidence to support his allegations and said his interest in the matter extends beyond his own experience.

I have to do this for the good of the republic of Rwanda and a president who has done a lot to sell his country’s image. I have way much more than you think, about you and your dark colored girlfriend playing this game for a long time. To make matters worse, I know more people you did this to. But the good thing is you and your friend physically met one of the victims and that’s how I confirmed it’s you.

The singer further alleged that the operation involves a Ugandan-based contact who uses a local phone number and account to receive money.

Bebe Cool said he became involved while pursuing opportunities related to his son’s football career and claimed he handled the matter openly with his wife.

You got the confidence because you thought since am married I won’t come out but unfortunately i was chatting with you in the knowledge of my wife since the topic was my son’s football career.

At the center of the dispute are two conflicting accounts. While Bebe Cool maintains that he can link Mutesi to the alleged scheme, Mutesi insists that fraudsters have been using fake accounts in her name.

Neither side has publicly released evidence that conclusively resolves the matter, and the allegations remain contested.
