Joshua Baraka Breaks Silence on Lobstar, Ssese Nation Split Talk

Singer Joshua Baraka has addressed reports that he parted ways with Lobstar and Ssese Nation, the team widely credited with shaping his rise.

The story gained traction after presenters on NRG Radio said booking requests no longer go through his longtime handlers.

According to the presenters, Richard now handles booking inquiries, and he reportedly manages Baraka’s girlfriend, Etania Mutoni.

That shift quickly sparked talk that the singer had cut ties with Lobstar and Ssese Nation.

In response, Baraka addressed the reports in a recent interview and pushed back on claims of a fallout.

He said the relationship remains strong and described the situation as a shift in how they work.

I have been seeing that conversation. Those are my brothers, first of all. All that I have and where I have reached, it has been Lob and Ssese. They will always be part of my story. We are just working in a different way now. We are still brothers, everything is going well. I think some people have exaggerated the situation, but there is no issue whatsoever.

His response comes as his career continues to expand beyond Uganda, with growing streams and international bookings.

He clarified his relationship with Lobstar and Ssese Nation but did not address reports about the new booking contact, leaving questions around his current management setup.
