Kenzo Vows Regional Studios to Uplift Uganda’s Music Industry
Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) president, Eddy Kenzo, has boldly spoken on the state of music production in Uganda, saying the industry still has a long way to go compared to the rest of the world.
Eddy Kenzo, whose global exposure has shaped his sound, urged artistes to invest in personal growth and strive for excellence.
He believes every musician should work to refine their craft.
But the star was quick to clarify that his leadership role does not give him authority over how other artistes produce their music.
I can not walk into people’s studios and dictate how they should make their music.
He added:
It is the artiste’s responsibility to seek improvement and invest in quality.
Still, Eddy Kenzo revealed a bold vision for the future.
UNMF is working on setting up regional recording studios to give musicians affordable access to professional facilities nationwide.
For Eddy Kenzo, success means uplifting the entire music industry to compete internationally.
