AKA Murder Case Moves to High Court as Trial Nears
The murder case tied to the killing of South African rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and celebrity chef Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane has now entered a decisive stage.
Authorities have moved the matter to the Durban High Court, bringing Siyabonga Ndimande and Malusi Ndimande closer to trial alongside several co-accused.
Prosecutors argue that the group carried out a coordinated hit and have filed charges that include double murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and attempted murder.
As the case builds, the court will hear it together with Lindokuhle Mkhwanazi, Lindani Ndimande, Siyanda Myeza, Mziwethemba Gwabeni, and Lindokuhle Ndimande.
The accused have already dropped their bail bids, a move that speeds up the process and shifts full focus to the trial.
Investigators plan to lean on forensic evidence, CCTV footage, and cellphone data as they work to connect each suspect to the shooting.
The court has set a pre-trial conference for 19 June, with proceedings expected to begin in July as the case moves into its most critical phase yet.
