Laika Shuts Down Privileged Background Rumors, Says She Simply Does Not Wear Her Struggles

Singer Laika, whose real name is Laika Umuhoza, has become known for her classy lifestyle, flashy cars, and fashionable outfits.

As a result, many people assume she comes from a privileged background and that music is just a hobby for her.

However, the rising singer recently set the record straight during a media chat, revealing that her journey has not been as easy as many think.

“I will never look like my struggles, but that does not mean I have not struggled,” she said.

According to Laika, some musicians use public sympathy to win support, but she deliberately avoids this approach.

“Musicians use the sympathy card and it works for them, but I am not the kind of person who is going to come here and cry about the things I have gone through,” she explained.

To support her point, she shared that she once worked as a host in bars and nightspots, earning UGX 500,000, and questioned why no one called her a privileged kid at the time.

Despite the glamour that surrounds her now, Laika emphasized that her current lifestyle is the direct result of her blood, sweat, and tears.
