Frank Gashumba Explains Why He Keeps His Marriage Private
City tycoon Frank Gashumba has explained why he keeps his marriage out of the public spotlight, saying he deliberately avoids turning his personal life into “showbiz.”
Speaking on Sanyuka TV, Gashumba said putting relationships in the public eye often creates pressure and can shorten their lifespan.
According to him, keeping things private allows couples to focus on building a stable and lasting future.
My relationship is not for the public. No relationship that is constantly in the public eye lasts. My wife and I are focused on long-term goals to sustain our relationship.
He also addressed earlier discussions about his daughter, Sheilah Gashumba, not calling his wife, Patience Mutoni Malaika, “mum,” brushing off the issue.
Gashumba stressed that respect matters more than titles within a family.
The most important thing is that she respects her.
The businessman recently formalized his relationship with Malaika in a traditional Kwanjula ceremony held in Sembabule District on May 15, 2025.
The union came after 24 years of being single following his separation from the mother of his first daughter, Sheilah Gashumba.
