Black Shuga Claims Amos Lovins Used Relationship for Promotion

Media personality Black Shuga has opened up about her past relationship with singer Amos Lovins, saying it was far from a genuine love story.

Speaking during an interview on Radio 4, Black Shuga claimed the relationship did not grow from real feelings but followed a calculated plan tied to the singer’s career.

It was never about love. From the start, I felt like I was part of something planned.

She said the relationship boosted Amos Lovins’ image and visibility, something she now believes he intended from the beginning.

Looking back, it feels like I was being used for promotion. I would have handled everything differently if I knew.

She also claimed some members of the singer’s family knew about the situation, a belief that grew stronger after she accessed his phone during the relationship.

Black Shuga further questioned their public proposal, saying it did not reflect what truly happened between them.

She said the experience took an emotional toll on her, especially after she saw messages that made her feel mocked in a family WhatsApp group.

She added that she ignored early warning signs, including frequent late-night calls Amos received from other women.

Now, Black Shuga says the relationship taught her to understand intentions early and to recognize the difference between love and personal gain.
