Mayiga Warns Content Creators Against Publicizing Relationships
“Hide your partner until you make it official.”
That was one of the lessons comedian Reign Omusoyisoyi took away from a recent meeting with Charles Peter Mayiga.
The Katikkiro of Buganda met content creators, artistes, and television personalities, where he shared advice on a range of issues, including relationships and life in the public eye.
According to Reign, Mayiga encouraged creatives to keep their relationships private and avoid rushing to put their love lives on display.
I really liked the Katikkiro’s closing remarks. In fact, he has passed a new law today. He said, ‘Hide your woman, hide your girlfriend. Do not show your woman because many people are not happy for you. Hide your partner until the day you make it official.
Beyond the relationship advice, Mayiga also praised creatives for the role they play in society, noting that entertainment and digital content continue to bring joy, laughter, and relief to many people.
