Mayiga Tells Artistes: No One Is Bewitching You, What You Lack Is Professionalism
The Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, has dismissed claims that witchcraft and sabotage are responsible for the struggles many artistes face, arguing that poor financial decisions and a lack of professionalism often play a bigger role.
While discussing challenges within the entertainment industry, Mayiga pointed to the way some artistes handle their earnings as a major concern.
Some of them are paid 10 million shillings and spend 8 million of it even before they perform.

Many entertainers, he argued, fail to treat their careers as businesses, leaving them vulnerable to financial problems despite earning substantial amounts of money.
That is why he struggles to accept claims that witchcraft or sabotage are behind every career setback in the entertainment industry.
No one is bewitching you, what you lack is professionalism.
In place of excuses, Mayiga called for greater discipline.
He urged artistes to manage their finances wisely and approach their careers more professionally, arguing that talent alone cannot guarantee long term success.
