Selecta Jeff Challenges Claim No Ugandan Artiste Can Match Mowzey Radio

DJ and music curator Selecta Jeff has weighed in after fresh comparisons between Mowzey Radio and today’s artistes surfaced online.

The discussion started after a social media user claimed it could take years before Uganda produces another artiste as talented as the late Goodlyfe singer.

While many fans agreed with the statement, Selecta Jeff offered a different take.

The DJ acknowledged Radio’s undeniable talent but argued that Uganda’s music industry still boasts artistes with exceptional vocal and songwriting abilities.

Respectfully, Moze was very talented, you cannot take that away from him. But also, you have to appreciate people like Joshua Baraka, Daddy Andre, King Saha, to mention but a few.. people with an insane vocal ability and extremely good with their pen. Respect to the legend Mozey.

Jeff’s comments struck a balance between honouring Radio’s legacy and recognizing the talent of today’s artistes.

Radio, who passed away in 2018, remains one of Uganda’s most celebrated musicians.

His songwriting skills and hit records continue to earn praise from fans and fellow entertainers, with many ranking him among the country’s greatest artistes.

Still, Selecta Jeff believes the conversation should not stop with Radio.
