“The More They Hate, The More I Glow,” Gloria Bugie Talks Fear Among Ugandan Musicians
Rwandan-born Ugandan musician Gloria Bugie confidently declared, “The more they hate, the more I glow,” and went on to say that many Ugandan musicians fear her.
While some respect her work, she believes most are intimidated by her, both male and female artistes.
She attributes this fear to her exceptional vocals and her ability to set trends effortlessly, claiming, “I do not pull stunts. Things just happen naturally.”
The “Nyash” singer also noted that many are curious about how a young artist like her has achieved so much in just one year.
Determined to break boundaries in the music industry, Gloria Bugie has set her sights on prestigious awards like the BET and Grammy, as well as collaborations with top international artistes.
Despite the negativity, she remains focused, stating that while haters will always be around, she will continue to shine.
