Uncle Chumi Shares Regrets Over Sacrifices She Made for Fellow Musicians
Singer Uncle Chumi has reflected on some of the sacrifices she made for fellow artistes over the years, saying many of her efforts ultimately yielded little in return.
One of those experiences dates back to her time at Riddim Empire, where she says she helped promote David Lutalo‘s music.
When I was at Riddim Empire, I promoted David Lutalo by distributing his CDs, but I never gained anything from it.
That sense of disappointment, she says, extended beyond professional support and into her personal relationships within the industry.

Chumi recalled becoming heavily invested in Spice Diana‘s disagreements with Sheebah Karungi, to the point where she allowed the feud to shape her own opinions.
I became so loyal to Spice Diana that I even started disliking Sheebah because of their issues.
Ironically, the friendship she defended so fiercely did not last.
Despite collaborating on “Gwokute Gwobba” remix and standing firmly in Spice Diana‘s corner, Chumi says the two eventually drifted apart.
In the end, I also fell out with Spice Diana. Looking back, it feels like all the sacrifices I made were in vain.
Looking back, Chumi appears to view those experiences as a lesson about loyalty, support, and the expectations people place on friendships in the music industry.
