Azawi Says People Around Artistes Fuel Their Ego
Swangz Avenue singer Azawi believes many artistes develop ego problems because the people around them refuse to hold them accountable.
While speaking on the Grab a Coffee podcast, Azawi said friends, managers, and team members often stay silent when artistes mistreat fans, allowing arrogance to grow unchecked.

The people who surround the artiste influence their ego because they do not call out the artistes when they treat fans with arrogance and rudeness.
She acknowledged that fame inevitably changes a person’s lifestyle and outlook. However, she believes artists must recognize when confidence starts turning into something else.

I cannot behave the same way I did when I was just starting up… but sometimes you need to know when you are crossing the line.
That is why accountability has become important in her own career.
Azawi revealed that she and her manager, Jaylor, agreed from the beginning to be honest with each other whenever they notice behavior that falls out of character.

When I started working with Jaylor, I told her if I ever get out of character, she should tell me. We agreed on that from the start.
