Fik Gaza Reveals How He Lost Chance to Collaborate With Spice
Fik Gaza has opened up about what he describes as one of the biggest disappointments of his career, claiming management issues cost him a chance to work with Jamaican dancehall star Spice.
The Ugandan singer dismissed suggestions that his performance during the press conference ahead of Spice’s visit to Uganda was to blame.
Instead, he says the Jamaican star had already shown interest in working with him and even offered him a lucrative deal.
Everything changed on the day of Spice’s concert, when he had hoped to perform.
He claims his manager, Suuna, and officials from Safari Beats got in the way, costing him the chance to share a stage with the dancehall star and secure the deal.
Spice had promised me $20,000 and a collaboration but because of manager Suuna and Safari Beats I lost it all.
While he did not go into detail about what happened behind the scenes, he insists management issues, not his singing ability or stage performance, led to the setback.
Fik Gaza believes the project could have introduced his music to wider audiences across Africa and the Caribbean, making it one of the biggest disappointments of his career.
