Cindy Reveals Why She Can Never Work With Omega 256 Again
Ugandan singer Cindy Sanyu has opened up about the breakdown of her relationship with Omega 256, revealing why she believes the two are unlikely to work together again.
Speaking during an interview on Galaxy FM, Cindy said disagreements over ownership, royalties, and recognition strained their relationship following the success of their collaboration, “See You Tonight.”
According to Cindy, she handled the song’s creation from start to finish, including sourcing the writer, recording the track, and covering production costs.

I looked for the writer and everything. We recorded at my studio. They did not pay for production, the writer, nothing at all.
Despite that, Cindy said she chose to upload the song on Omega 256’s YouTube channel because she felt it would benefit her fellow singer more.
That decision, however, later became a source of regret.
Cindy claimed the two sides initially agreed to split everything equally, but problems emerged when the song entered distribution.
She alleged that Omega’s side allocated 60 percent of the royalties to themselves and left Cindy’s camp with 40 percent.
The singer also addressed the controversy surrounding “See You Tonight” winning Collaboration of the Year, saying only Omega appeared to receive the award.
According to Cindy, both camps later agreed to let Omega keep the accolade because it seemed more important to her side.

It was a weird situation. I did not even expect things to happen like that.
The revelations offer fresh insight into a collaboration that produced one of the country’s most popular songs but ultimately left the two artistes at odds.
