Davido Reveals Why Graduating Still Means So Much to Him

During a recent visit to the institution, the Afrobeats star reflected on his university days and the role the school played in his journey to stardom.

Davido said graduating still means a lot to him because many people who started school never got the chance to finish.

Babcock University shaped my career. I always brag to colleagues that I went to school and graduated. Not everyone who started school got to finish.

While attending classes, the singer spent much of his free time recording music and chasing his dream. Some of the songs that later introduced him to mainstream success came out during that period.

Davido previously revealed that his father insisted on him earning a degree before fully supporting his music career.

The university also changed his personal life, as it was there that he met his wife, Chioma Adeleke.
