Don Jazzy Calls Out Gen Z Artistes Over Social Media Habits

Don Jazzy has opened up about one issue he keeps running into with younger artistes under his label.

The Mavin Records boss revealed that many Gen Z artistes struggle to promote their own music consistently on social media.

According to him, they often avoid posting frequently because they want their pages to look neat and carefully curated.

He explained that this approach clashes with his own expectations, leading to regular disagreements, especially with more established acts.

In his view, consistent promotion remains key to staying visible in today’s music space.

Don Jazzy pointed out that some artistes hold back due to self doubt, referencing conversations with Ayra Starr as an example.

He suggested that this mindset limits how much they push their work.

Despite the challenge, he encouraged artistes to take every chance to share their music online, stressing that visibility plays a major role in growth and success in the industry.

I fight with my artistes all the time because of their reluctance to post their music content on their social media pages. I am also having the same issue with my niece, who is into entertainment. I do not know who told Gen Z that it is not okay to post your work frequently on social media. They want to keep a clean page and don’t want to promote themselves. Especially Ayra Starr, who will say it is imposter syndrome.
