Don Jazzy Denies Favouring Artistes At Mavin Records
Don Jazzy has dismissed claims that Mavin Records favours some artistes over others when it comes to promotion and career opportunities.
Speaking during a recent podcast appearance, the veteran music producer said it would make no business sense for a record label to invest heavily in an artist only to ignore that same artiste later.
Don Jazzy explained that artistes who release fewer songs under Mavin usually make that decision themselves and not because the label is blocking their progress.
According to him, the company remains ready to support any artiste willing to put out music consistently.
He also blamed insecurity and overthinking for the growing belief that some artistes receive more attention than others at the label.
The music executive noted that many artistes struggle with imposter syndrome, which sometimes affects their confidence and decision making.
He insisted that Mavin Records does not deliberately sideline any artiste signed to the label.
