Fik Gaza Complains About Removal From Spice Concert, Calls Her “Ice Spice”

Ugandan singer Fik Gaza has sparked reactions online after claiming organisers dropped him from Spice’s concert lineup just a day before the event.

In posts shared on X, Fik Gaza expressed disappointment over the decision, saying he expected to perform because the Jamaican star allegedly knew him from the moment she arrived in Uganda.

It hurts to say this, but I was canceled from performing on the Ice Spice show. I understand why, and it’s not fair. Ice Spice came to Uganda, the first name she knew was mine and expecting me first.

He later added:

It hurts to be removed from Spice’s show just one day to go. But let’s be clear: me and my team are not violent people. Music is what we do, not violence.

However, social media users quickly focused on one awkward detail: Fik Gaza repeatedly referred to the Jamaican dancehall star as “Ice Spice” instead of Spice.

The mix up instantly triggered jokes online, with some fans questioning how he claimed to know the artiste closely during her Uganda visit while confusing her with the American rapper.

Others joked that he may have prepared for the wrong concert altogether.

Despite the online reactions, excitement remains high ahead of Spice’s concert scheduled for May 9 at the Lugogo Cricket Oval, with the event expected to attract huge crowds and performances from several Ugandan artistes.
