For years, Karole Kasita kept chasing her music dream through rejection, setbacks, and moments that nearly pushed her away from the industry completely.

Now preparing for her “Power Within” concert, the singer became emotional during a press conference held at the MTN headquarters as she reflected on the difficult road that brought her to this stage of her career.

Kasita opened up about her early years in music, describing a period filled with uncertainty and frustration as she struggled to find her footing in the industry. Despite everything, she said giving up was never an option for long.

Media personality Douglas Lwanga also shared a heartfelt memory from around 2010, revealing that Kasita once contacted him on Facebook asking for help promoting a song she had recorded under the group Cash 02.

At the time, her music failed to gain attention, and she quietly stepped away from the spotlight for a period before eventually returning with renewed focus around 2016.

According to Lwanga, Kasita slowly rebuilt herself and kept working consistently until finally getting her breakthrough between 2018 and 2019.

The emotional weight of that journey became visible during the press conference as the audience applauded her story, leaving the singer struggling to hold back tears.

The mood soon shifted when her hit song “Beng” started playing through the speakers, drawing cheers from the crowd and helping her regain her composure before continuing with the event.
