Douglas Lwanga Questions Where Stressed Ugandans Go To Heal
Weeks after warning about what he described as a growing mental health crisis in Uganda, media personality and youth advocate Douglas Lwanga has once again spoken out about the emotional struggles many people silently face.
In a new post shared on X, Lwanga questioned where stressed Ugandans go to heal, breathe, and reset, arguing that many people battle pressure without proper support systems.
Where do stressed people in Uganda go to heal, breathe, and reset? Bar or church? The next big business will be mental wellness spaces safe places where people can talk without judgment.

He said school children, corporate workers, and struggling families quietly carry overwhelming stress and emotional pressure.
Lwanga added that many people turn to drugs and other distractions after losing hope, while the real issue remains mental health.
Too many turn to drugs and extreme distractions after losing hope. The underlying issue is mental health. People are not okay outhea. We are all potential patients. Be kind.

This is not the first time Douglas Lwanga has raised concern about mental health in Uganda.
Back in April, he warned that many people who appear fine on the outside privately struggle emotionally, something he said now shows up in everyday conflicts and public interactions.
At the time, he urged Ugandans to speak and interact with others more carefully because many people carry unresolved stress.
