Hellen Lukoma Reflects On Working With Sheebah In Obsessions

Long before Sheebah Karungi became one of Uganda’s biggest female music stars, Hellen Lukoma says her star power was already impossible to miss.

While reflecting on their time in the legendary girl group Obsessions, the former member revealed that she briefly worked alongside Sheebah around the time she and fellow member Brendah were preparing to leave the group.

Even then, she says, Sheebah already carried the kind of energy that naturally stood out from everyone else.

Sheebah has always been a star and she was really vibrant. You know she was doing karaoke and she was the best of their team. To have joined Obsessions, she was doing really great.

For Hellen, watching Sheebah eventually grow into one of the country’s biggest entertainers came as no surprise because the signs had already started showing from the very beginning.
