The Afrobeats star recently reflected on a former relationship and revealed why he decided it could not continue.

Speaking with Korty EO, Rema said he reached a point where the stress inside the relationship outweighed the happiness it once brought him.

The singer explained that the outside world already places heavy expectations on him. Because of that, he wanted his home life to feel calm and supportive. Instead, he said he found himself carrying even more emotional weight.

My romantic relationship was beautiful but a little quite manipulative. So much pressure. Knowing the world puts so much pressure on me but coming back home is where you want to feel relieved but when you come back home and you are getting more pressure, it is a different story.

After reaching his limit, Rema ended the relationship and says he is not interested in starting another one anytime soon.
