Ugandan socialite and businessman Shakib Cham emerged victorious over Kenyan singer Arrow Bwoy after stopping him by technical knockout (TKO) in the second round of their celebrity boxing clash at the Vurugu 2 event in Nairobi.
The bout took place on the night of June 20 and extended into the early hours of June 21 at the Sarit Expo Centre. It was one of the most anticipated attractions of the event.
Shakib appeared in control throughout the contest, landing heavy punches that repeatedly troubled Arrow Bwoy before eventually dropping the Kenyan musician. The referee stepped in at approximately the 2-minute-30-second mark of the second round and waved off the contest, handing the Ugandan star a TKO win.
Weeks of online exchanges had fueled tensions between the two personalities before they finally met in the ring. The rivalry reached a boiling point during a chaotic weigh-in after Arrow Bwoy threw an egg at Shakib, creating one of the most talked-about moments ahead of the event.
