Spyro Claims Some Colleagues Went Broke Chasing Women And Parties
Spyro has claimed that some of his colleagues in the music industry blew their fortunes on women, parties and luxury trips before ending up broke.
The Nigerian singer, whose real name is Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, made the remarks while addressing fans during a performance over the weekend. He urged young men to focus on investments instead of spending recklessly.
According to him, several artistes lost the wealth they earned early in their careers because they prioritised enjoyment over long-term financial planning.
If you are here and you are spending money on women I think you are wasting your time. I not saying you should not spend on your woman but use your head.
The “Who’s Your Guy” hitmaker said there is nothing wrong with being generous, but he warned against excessive spending.
He then pointed to some of his colleagues as examples of what can happen when success comes before financial discipline.
I know some of my colleagues who went broke because they made their first bag and blew it off on parties and trips to South Africa. But I didn’t move that way and that is why I am where I am.
Spyro said he took a different approach when fame and money came his way.
He revealed that many Instagram models reached out to him after his rise to stardom, including some who offered to sponsor luxury holidays abroad.
Rather than embracing the attention, he said he focused on his music career and investments, a decision he believes helped him preserve and grow his wealth.
